Fire Warden


This course provides essential training for employees appointed as Fire Wardens, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to assist with fire prevention, emergency evacuation procedures, and maintaining workplace fire safety compliance.


Course Objectives

  • Understand the role and responsibilities of a Fire Warden within the workplace.

  • Learn the basic principles of fire safety, including the fire triangle and common causes of workplace fires.

  • Develop knowledge of fire prevention strategies and how to identify potential fire hazards.

  • Gain an understanding of fire risk assessments and the Fire Warden’s role in supporting workplace safety.

  • Learn the procedures for safe evacuation of buildings, including assisting colleagues and ensuring evacuation routes remain clear.

  • Understand how to manage emergency situations and guide staff safely to assembly points.

  • Gain practical knowledge of fire safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, fire alarms, and fire safety signage.

  • Learn how to support fire drills and ensure evacuation procedures are followed effectively.

  • Understand post-incident procedures, including reporting and reviewing fire safety practices.

Target Audience

This course is suitable for employees designated as Fire Wardens within their organisation, as well as supervisors or staff responsible for supporting workplace fire safety procedures.

Course Format

Duration: ½ Day
Mode: In-person training only
Assessment: Practical exercises and written assessment

Certification

Participants will receive a Fire Warden Certificate upon successful completion of the course.
The certification is valid for 2 years.
