This course provides comprehensive first aid training for workplace responders, equipping learners with the skills and confidence to manage a wide range of medical emergencies safely and effectively in line with UK regulations.
Understand the role and responsibilities of a First Aider in the workplace.
Learn how to assess emergency situations quickly and safely.
Develop skills in performing Adult Basic Life Support (CPR) and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Learn how to manage unconscious casualties, including recovery position techniques.
Gain knowledge of common workplace injuries, including cuts, burns, fractures, and soft tissue injuries.
Understand how to respond to medical emergencies such as choking, seizures, asthma attacks, heart attacks, stroke, and anaphylaxis.
Learn how to control bleeding and shock effectively.
Develop the ability to record incidents and report accidents in line with workplace procedures.
Understand the importance of health and safety compliance in emergency response.
This course is suitable for employees designated as workplace First Aiders, as well as staff working in healthcare, care settings, construction, education, and other environments where first aid provision is required.

Assessment: Practical demonstrations, continuous assessment, and written evaluation
Participants will receive a First Aid at Work Level 3 Certificate upon successful completion of the course.
The certification is valid for 3 years (with annual refresher recommended).
