This course provides essential first aid knowledge and practical skills to respond effectively to adult emergencies, ensuring prompt, safe, and confident care in critical situations.
Understand the principles of first aid and the role of the first aider.
Learn how to assess an emergency situation safely using the primary survey (DRABC).
Recognise and respond to unresponsive casualties, including recovery position.
Perform adult CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) effectively.
Understand how to manage choking incidents in adults.
Learn how to deal with bleeding, shock, burns, and minor injuries.
Recognise signs of medical emergencies such as heart attack, stroke, seizures, and asthma attacks.
Understand how to use first aid equipment safely.
Develop confidence in communicating with emergency services.
Promote health and safety awareness in the workplace or care setting.
This course is suitable for healthcare workers, carers, support staff, workplace first aiders, and individuals responsible for emergency response in care or community settings.

Mode: In-person training only
Assessment: Practical demonstrations and scenario-based assessment
Participants will receive a First Aid in Adults Certificate upon successful completion of the course.
The certification is valid for 1–2 years in line with organisational requirements.
